Welcome to Rockridge Out & About! On Sunday September 17, Oakland’s beloved Rockridge neighborhood will welcome thousands from all over the region to shop, dine and explore at our 11th Rockridge Out & About festival. Mark your calendars now for a fun-filled day celebrating all that makes Rockridge a great place to live, work, shop and play! The free, family-friendly festivities run from noon-6pm along a strollable 12-block stretch of College Avenue. Festival Highlights Presented by the Rockridge District Association, the something-for-everyone street fair blends annual favorites with new activities while showcasing the 100+ ground floor shops and businesses that call Rockridge home.
Picnic & Dance with Market Hall
Rockridge Market Hall celebrates 30 years of serving the Bay area community in 2017. Please celebrate with us during the street fair! Live music and dancing on the BART plaza with Big Blu Soul Revue and VibraSÓN Salsa. Festival goers will enjoy food booths from The Cheese Counter and Delicatessen of Market Hall Foods (formerly The Pasta Shop), Hapuku Fish Shop, Marin Sun Farms, Market Hall Bake
ry, Market Hall Produce, Paul Marcus Wines, Market Hall Caterers and Cactus Taqueria. Stop by the free photobooth for fun keepsakes! In partnership with Cole Hardware, Market Hall presents kids’ (and adults!) activities, including key wind chime making.
Live Entertainment on the Avenue
Live music will be featured in multiple outdoor locations up and down College Avenue. Other highlights include: dance performances by Axis Dance Company and Shawl-Anderson Dance Center (@63rd), Kinetic Arts Circus shows (@Lawton), pony rides and a petting zoo (just below Claremont), a lively puppet show (@Harwood), in addition to music by Jr Dreads and The John Brothers Piano Company as part of an outdoor beer garden sponsored by Golden Squirrel Rockridge (@Harwood).

Art + Food + Community More than 100 community, artisan and business booths will dot College Avenue, combining with Rockridge’s plethora of existing businesses to offer a full range of shopping opportunities. Festival-goers can get a jump on fall and holiday shopping with selections ranging from antiques and home furnishings, clothing and jewelry, health and wellness, books and learning, international and artisanal foods, and much more.
A variety of great eats will be offered by scores of Rockridge establishments and food vendors. Beer and wine will also be sold and festival-goers will have the option of dining comfortably at tables in four festival food courts.
Fun for the Kids Always family-friendly, Rockridge Out & About also boasts loads of kids’ activities including kid-friendly carnival rides and games plus face painting and more.

Direct access to the festival is fast and easy at the Rockridge BART station, where we'll add additional bike parking racks for the day. Oakland Spokes will host free bike parking. Please bring your own bike lock.
