Rockridge Out and About - Festival Highlights
Welcome to Rockridge Out & About!
On Sunday September 17, Oakland’s beloved Rockridge neighborhood will welcome thousands from all over the region to shop, dine and explore at our 11th Rockridge Out & About festival. Mark your calendars now for a fun-filled day celebrating all that makes Rockridge a great place to live, work, shop and play!  The free, family-friendly festivities run from noon-6pm along a strollable 12-block stretch of College Avenue. 
Festival Highlights

Presented by the Rockridge District Association, the something-for-everyone street fair blends annual favorites with new activities while showcasing the 100+ ground floor shops and businesses that call Rockridge home.

Picnic & Dance with Market Hall
Market Hall merchants will be offering delicious foods and drinks, tastings and fun activities. Live music will be on the BART plaza all day, so get ready to dance!  This year, Market Hall will team up again with Cole Hardware to sponsor a lively the Kids Zone with pumpkin decorating and more. They are also holding the popular Cook Book Exchange and raising money for the Rockridge-area public schools through a raffle prize drawing (great prizes, great cause!).

More than 100 community, artisan and business booths will dot College Avenue, combining with Rockridge’s plethora of existing businesses to offer a full range of shopping opportunities.  Festival-goers can get a jump on fall and holiday shopping with selections ranging from antiques and home furnishings, clothing and jewelry, health and wellness, books and learning, international and artisanal foods, and much more. 
A variety of great eats will be offered by scores of Rockridge establishments and food vendors.  Beer and wine will also be sold and festival-goers will have the option of dining comfortably at tables in four festival food courts.

Fun for the Kids
Always family-friendly, Rockridge Out & About also boasts loads of kids’ activities including kid-friendly carnival rides and games plus face painting and more.

Free, Easy to Get to and Fun for All! 
Admission to the 2017 Rockridge Out & About is free to the public, made possible through our generous sponsors. 
Direct access to the festival is fast and easy at the Rockridge BART station, where we'll add additional bike parking racks for the day. Oakland Spokes will host free bike parking.  Please bring your own bike lock.
